J. Payton Williams

J. Payton Williams is an Associate Attorney at Kandell, Kandell & Petrie, where he specializes in First Party Property Insurance and Assignment of Benefits cases. With a robust legal background and a deep commitment to client advocacy, Payton brings a strong dedication to his role.

Payton earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He furthered his education at Florida State University College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Before joining Kandell, Kandell, & Petrie, Payton served as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County. In this role, he gained extensive experience handling a wide range of cases, from misdemeanors and traffic violations, to complex felony trials. This experience honed his litigation skills and provided him with a comprehensive understanding of client advocacy.

Outside of his professional life, Payton enjoys playing Rugby and Soccer, watching Atlanta sports, playing the drums, and Liverpool F.C. His diverse background and passion for the law contribute to his exceptional ability to navigate complex legal issues and achieve favorable outcomes for his clients.
